Light a stick or the sage and say a prayer with your intentions. There is no right or wrong way to cleanse. Just do what comes natural to you and go with your own intuition.

Move around the house, object or work place, in a clockwise direction. Remember to cleanse in room corners, closet, draws and garages etc... When you have cleansed all areas, return to where you started and extinguish your sage or palo santo stick. Always remember to say thank you. Wait till they have cooled down and place away till next time.
